Jennifer Whalen trained under Linda Strangio Hedberg in Oxnard, California and Gustafson Dance in Santa Barbara. She also trained, on full scholarship, with San Francisco, Kirov Ballet and the Royal Ballet School in London for their Summer Programs. Jennifer won the prestigious Music Center Spotlight Awards at the age of 14. At the age of 16 she was the Youth American Grand Prix Gold Medal Winner. Jennifer started her career with State Street Ballet at the age of 14. She then joined American Ballet Theatre where she danced for 15 years. She also danced 1 season with FJK Dance in New York as a principal dancer. Jennifer has appearing the movie Black Swan, was on the Jimmy Kimmel Show, and in numerous national ad campaigns, including under Armour with Misty Copeland. Jennifer has done several master classes around the country. She has been a guest teacher at Joffrey Ballet School, TADA Ballet School - Atlanta, Georgia; Broadway Dance Studios - New York; Greenwich Ballet Academy - Greenwich, Connecticut as well as doing private coaching.
